Gifts

We sincerely believe that the best gift people can give is to take the time and effort to be at our wedding. Its a cliché, but it's true!

For those who really wish to go further... we have no registry, and we live a long way away where it is hard and expensive to transport stuff. We are, however, in the market for a tandem, so contributions to that would be our second-most appreciated gift!

No dogs please!

Please dog lovers, don't bring your 4-legged friend(s) to our wedding! Don't worry, dog-withdrawal-syndrome can be countered by petting the resident Husky at the Moyle Ranch. He's fluffy and docile and should amply fulfill all the psychological requirements of the Boulder inhabitants.

Visas

Visitors from the UK are entitled to enter the USA under the visa-waiver program.

Your passport number, address, cat's name and favourite breakfast cereal must be registered in advance, for a non-avoidable fee, at the ESTA website. An ESTA entry is valid for a calendar year from the point of application.

Climate

For those non-Boulder folks who are not sure what to expect from Colorado in June, a couple of nerdy sentences to help with the clothing selection.

* The average high temp on the 16th June in Loveland is approaching 30C, with a record of 35. The ceremony is purposefully just before sunset so as to avoid the heat of the day; it will likely still be warm.

* The average low temp on the same date is 10C, with a record of 0. Please bring something warm for the reception!

* The chance of rain on our wedding day is less than 20%. The chance of rain in the evening is significantly lower, but we will be prepared to jostle the timing accordingly should we not be lucky!

* Rain in Colorado at this time of year is almost all in the form of afternoon thunderstorms; wind is a significantly greater nuisance than precipitation, which tends to evaporate before it even reaches the ground.
